La Inesperada: one-off workshop pieces that, once they're gone, don't come back
Things happen in the workshop that never end up being seen or making it into the collection. Leathers we try and that in the end didn't make the cut. Colors we decide not to launch. Samples born during the design process that stayed tucked away.
But some pieces are too beautiful to stay in a drawer.
That's how La Inesperada is born: a selection of unique, exclusive and very limited bienhechas —sometimes just 1— that appear every now and then and that, once they sell out, disappear forever.
What La Inesperada is
They're one-off units born in the workshop that aren't part of the permanent collection. Unrepeatable pieces, available in very limited quantities. Once they're gone, they don't come back.
They're not pre-sales. They're not made again. And you'll probably never see them again.
Why it exists
Because at Labienhecha we don't make perfect things: we make well-made things. And sometimes, on that path of trying, getting it wrong and starting over, a piece comes out that deserves to exist even if it doesn't fit the collection. A leather we ruled out for stock reasons or because a negotiation fell through. A color we never got to launch. A prototype we fell in love with.
Instead of keeping it, we show it to you. Because that's also consuming in a different way: less, but better; and making sure nothing well-made is left without an owner.
How it works
- They appear without warning, every now and then.
- Very few units —sometimes just one—.
- Once they sell out, they disappear forever. There's no restock.
They're little surprises born in the workshop. Pieces with history. One-off pieces. If you come across one that calls to you, you know: it probably won't come back.
