La Ventana de primavera: Colors & Flowers (and why we only make what sells)
Most brands make first and then pray they'll sell it. We do it the other way round: we used to ask first, and now we simply only make what sells - and because you choose it. We call that La Ventana.
What La Ventana is
La Ventana is a one-off moment when we open special, unrepeatable, limited-time editions. It opens, stays for a while, and closes. And it has one thing we love: it's a hyper-sustainable way to produce, because we only make the units sold during the pre-order. No dead stock. No leftovers.
It's the perfect chance to give our community the treat of choosing the special colors they always ask us for, which are impossible to fit into the collection.
And that makes each edition of La Ventana a totally unique, unrepeatable edition so you can have that bienhecha you're crazy about in that color you want but that we don't normally carry.
La Ventana de primavera: Colors & Flowers
To launch it, we gave the community a selection of colors and together we chose the five favorites for a spring edition in which our best sellers dressed up in a wonderful range of color.
These were the SS26 colors chosen in La Ventana, always in vegetable-tanned cowhide leather:
- Lemon yellow — soft, vanilla-toned, utterly lovely.
- Jade — velvety, to brighten up spring (and the whole year).
- Mauve — pastel but cheerful, dusty, with an irresistible feel.
- Blush — a burst of color with a coral hint.
- Eggplant — dark, with a unique personality that made us fall in love.
And the flowers
Because "Colors & Flowers" wasn't just a pretty name: with every bag in the edition we gifted one of our 100% handcrafted flowers, each one unique. A handmade touch to celebrate that spring had arrived in the workshop.

From La Ventana to La Rendija
Here comes the best part: out of these five colors, and deciding everything on the fly in this first edition, together we chose to save one color so that only one stays in the collection forever. And we don't decide it, though we did set one condition.
We tell you all about it in the next chapter: how La Rendija works.
Because making less, but better, is also this: making only what you truly want.
